Aswad Ayinde, a Paterson, New Jersey native is currently on trial for charges claiming that he impregnated three of his five daughters. One of which is shockingly 12 years old.

Born Eric McGill, Ayinde is most well-known for directing the music video for the Fugees’ 1996 hit “Killing Me Softly,” for which he received an MTV Music Video Award.

According to his ex-wife, Beverly Ayinde, the 54-year-old believed he was a prophet, and for 15 years had manic control of his household and family, sexually assaulting both his wife and children repeatedly. Currently, he’s charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault, and reportedly impregnated his daughters to create his own “blueblood” race.

“I had to call him ‘my God,’” said Beverly. “He equated himself to Jesus Christ.”

While the couple married in 1976, according to Beverly, for the most part of their marriage, the family was secluded from the outside world. The children were home-schooled, and because Aswad didn’t “believe in doctors,” five of her nine children had no birth certificates or Social Security numbers.

His current trial is the second of five charges that he is facing. Back in 2010, he was given a 40-year sentence for sexually molesting his 8-year-old daughter until she gave birth to his child as a teenager. He’s currently faced with multiple charges that can easily add up to more than 100 years in prison.
