Snoop Lion, formerly Snoop Dogg, received some bad press last week when members of the Rastafari Council, headed by Bunny Wailer, released a statement discrediting his Rastafarian faith.
Bunny Wailer, an original member of Bob Marley and the Wailers, says Snoop Lion is not a real Rasta and should cease and desist from using the Lion name or face a lawsuit.
During an interview with largeUp TV, Snoop opened up about his relationship with the reggae icon.
“You know one thing about Bunny Wailer, is that if you ain’t real, then you ain’t gonna be around him,” Snoop Lion said. “So the dynamics of what we were doing and what accomplished and what we are as a unit as a team brought that together. The spirit definitely brought that together cause that’s my big brother and he needed to hit me with some information that was off camera that wasn’t captured.”
