Noisey Jamaica featured dancehall divas Tifa and Spice in the latest episode of their Snoop Lion-produced dancehall web series.
During the sit down interview, Tifa opens up about the struggles of female deejays in dancehall.
“I wouldn’t say we are treated equal,” Tifa said. “I feel like we work harder on that stage. Because most men; especially if they have a catalog, will just go and sing their songs and they have people in the audience going bap bap.”
Tifa also touched on the topic of feud between females in the genre.
Spice also passed through on the the interview, where she opened up about her biggest song to date, “Romping Shop” a collaboration with Vybz Kartel.
“That song was huge, everybody loved that song,” Spice said. “Romping Shop, that song took like three days, I’m not exaggerating, to be one of the biggest songs in the world, because of some pictures that I took.”
Yes Spice we remembered those explicit photos.
