Video: Sean Paul Tells All About Alleged Affair With Beyonce

Sean Paul’s collaboration with Beyonce on the chart topping single “Baby Boy” sent the rumor mill into a frenzy back in 2003 that the two were dating.

What made the rumors even more believable was the fact that Jay-Z barred the dancehall superstar from performing the single with Beyonce on the MTV Video Music Awards.

Speaking with Sway on MTV Rapfix, Sean Paul said the rumors were blown out of proportion.

“It was not a big deal to me, but it really blew up into crazy stuff,” Sean Paul told RapFix. “That’s a rumor that started. I’ve known Jay-Z from before I knew her. The general public blew it up in certain things.”

Sean Paul also revealed the reasons he has remain quiet about the rumors all these years.

“I just remained quiet about it for years because it was doing its work. There was just a lot of controversy,” the dancehall star confessed. “She’s an amazing artist, the song was at number1 for like nine weeks, so that was a very special time for me and for dancehall.”

Sean Paul also revealed that during that time period he once meet with Jay-Z in his New York Roc-A-Fella office for some advice on radio politics.
